Audio Conference Description:
Filling nonprofit CEO and CFO positions is growing more challenging as the boomer generation begins its exodus from the nonprofit sector. While the recession has delayed some boomer exits, it has also created a new pool of applicants with high level corporate experience, opening new opportunities and pitfalls in transition planning, Explore new strategies to plan for leadership transition and create flexible opportunities for highly skilled professionals to provide transitional leadership. |
About Our Presenter:
Kay Sohl is a nonprofit financial management consultant with Kay Sohl Consulting in Portland, OR. Ms. Sohl has provided training and consultation on financial management issues for over 4,000 nonprofit organizations. She co-founded and served as Executive Director of TACS (Technical Assistance for Community Services), the Northwest’s largest resource for nonprofit capacity building assistance. |
Educational Goals and Objectives:
Audio Conference participants will obtain a better understanding of the legal, financial and management issues that apply to their organizations or to organizations with which they work. In particular, participants will learn how to (1) recognize many of the legal and, where relevant, financial requirements and best practices that apply to their organizations or organizations with which they work, and, (2) develop strategies for complying with those requirements and best practices. |
CPE Credit:
CPAs seeking CPE credit should register for it when registering for the audio conference. CAPLAW is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
